Meet the Artists

At Brevard Clay, our gallery is filled with more than just pottery - it’s filled with people, stories, and purpose.

Each piece you’ll find is handcrafted by a local or regional artist. Some have been throwing pots for decades. Others are just discovering their voice. But all share a belief that clay is more than a material - it’s a way to connect, to reflect, and to create something lasting.

Thse are the hands and stories behind the work.

Spotlight Artists

Laura Hoeke

Maker of mugs, moments, and meaningful messes

Laura came to clay during a time of personal transition, and it quickly became a space for breath, healing, and expression. Some of her earliest pieces — meditative vessels and sculptural forms — still reflect that grounding presence.

Today, Laura shapes more than pottery. As the Owner and director of Brevard Clay, she nurtures a creative space where artists grow, stories are shared, and community is built — one piece, one person at a time.

“Even when I’m not producing much clay work, I’m still creating — shaping this studio, supporting other artists, and helping grow a community where creativity belongs to everyone.”
